Rivet Chat is an AI shopping assistant for Shopify and custom stores. It understands the product shoppers are viewing, answers from your live catalog, shows page-aware product cards, and attributes add-to-cart — so visitors convert on the product page, not after a generic chatbot FAQ. Merchants configure store profile, products, rules, and appearance in a dashboard, then embed Rivet in about two minutes.
Our story
It started with a returned order. A customer had asked a chatbot if a product was in stock. The bot — trained on a snapshot from weeks ago — said yes. The product had sold out that morning.
The customer ordered anyway. The store had to issue a refund, apologize, and lose the sale. The worst part? The real-time data was sitting right there in the database. The chatbot just wasn't connected to it.
We thought: why are chatbots trained on static content when the truth is in the database? And so Rivet was built — an AI customer service agent that queries your live data on every message, not a stale training set.
